Success!

First up, congratulations to Ayra for being chosen to be one of the emcees for this year's MMI concert. She had talked about the teacher auditioning some of the kids and excitedly proclaimed she was one of the few. She kept talking about it till one day, she quietly told me that the teacher had chosen Tze Hao and Erra Monteiro instead. so I told her it was okay and that she can always try again next year. However, she came back a few days later and said she is now on of the emcees but didn't want to elaborate how and why she got the part. I almost thought she was fibbibg till she came home with her emcee script on Monday. Apparently, Erra Monteiro has been replaced because she can't keep still! She fidgets as she's announcing so that's how Ayra got the job instead. So we've been practising everyday with our unplugged mics. She's getting better but still has a problem with some Tamil words she has to say to introduce a Tamil Dance number. No worries though. I'll get her prepared in time:)

Next, just to show the world my children at their favorite spot in the house.

It's pretty convenient for me coz when Fuddin is there, he doesn't budge so I can actually do something else rather than watch him. I would sweep the floor and clean my room a bit as he takes in the sights and sounds of the busy world outside.

Look at him! He's totally pleased! The problem is when we need him to leave the place though. He would hang on for dear life and you have to literally pull him away, screaming, from the spot.

As for Hari Raya, not that much has been done. The retouching up of the paintwork is almost done. Mom baked two types of "kuihs" and I'm just gonna buy the rest. We bought the drinks. We also put up the lights!

Nope, nothing too impressive but it'll do. We still have to clean the house though; most probably next weekend. Such a chore but sadly, unavoidable.

About two more weeks of Ramadan. A new beginning when Syawal comes along? Insya-Allah.

To Muslims out there, Happy Fasting and let us communally suffer as we spend lots of money and sweat it out (cleaning the house, baking "kuihs") in order to celebrate Aidilfitri.
