A Quiet Sunday Before the Monday Blues

Ayra and I finally got down to playing the Momopoly Junior set that I bought her. It's meant to be for kids between 5 to 8 so I figured it would be okay for her. It turned out to be a bit more complicated than I expected. For example, she couldn't decide when to buy a house (or is it an Amusement Centre in this case?) and she can never remember that you get $2 once you pass "Go".

Anyway, she went bankrupt and wasn't very pleased. I was contemplating letting her win at first but decided against it. If she plays it enough, sooner or later, she'll probably be able to win the game on her own.

As for work, I'm not looking forward to it. There's the ELDS Assembly performance on Tuesday and Wednesday which we are so unprepared for. Then there's that EV interview I have to go to. I hope they don't ask me for the school's mission and vision thing coz I haven't memorised it and I don't plan to. It's such a chore. I also have to take over the 4Express Lit class. I am seriously not looking forward to that.

Whatever. I reckon what has to be done will get done... somehow. No point worrying about it. Life goes on.

The Holidays Came...and Went...

Okay people. I haven't posted not because I don't have a life or because I'm dead. My camera cable went missing and I just found it last night. So I'm back...yet again.

The June holidays came and went... there was hardly a break. A week has passed here and I'm sitting here eating the saltiest potato chips I've ever tasted in my life. In fact, I'm stuffing my face with it coz I'm tired and junk food makes me feel good (but fat).

Whatever it is, here are some pics of us and the kids just doing stuff and hanging around.

We brought Ayra to the Qian Hu Fish Farm. We walked around and marvelled at the fishies. Then Ayra fed some Kois. I didn't want her to fish for guppies coz they always die when you bring them home.

Then one of the days we went to West Coast Park. We were supposed to go tho the playgrounds but we couldn't find a parking space so we had to go to the end where there was pretty much nothing. So we spread our tiny mat and had a picnic of MacDonalds! Satisfying indeed. Kudos to Fuddin who could actually sit down and enjoy his fries.

We also brought Fuddin to the Civil Service Club to swim. He is such a fish! He loved the water and wasn't very pleased when it was time to go. We promised him that we'll bring him back again though so no worries Baby!

Hmm, what else? Nothing really. Nothing I wanna put up here. I guess everything's going okay. Just keep the spirits up.

A Teeney Weeney Break

It was a nice break. I won't say much. It was tiring. We walked too much (part of it in the pouring rain), ate too much and were freezing ourselves in the hotel room but hey, it was actually nice. It was a break from the mundane pattern of going to work (although its the holidays).

Slowly but Surely...

To Be One With Each Other

What greater thing is there for two human souls
than to feel that they are joined together to strengthen
each other in all labor, to minister to each other in all sorrow,
to share with each other in all gladness,
to be one with each other in the
silent unspoken memories?

George Eliot
