Life's Weird... or is it just Me?

Ok, just a quick note before I head for home. I'm on a marking frenzy. Tomorrow my English paper comes in so that's the end of my happiness. Haha. No la, it just means I'll be very busy.

Anyway, my ELDS managed a Bronze award for this year's SYF. I know they're a bit upset (so am I actually) but that's part and parcel of competition. At least we didn't get "toilet paper" eh? Anyway, I think they did great and put in a lot of effort so I don't see any reason to be upset.

Anyway, my babies are constantly falling sick these days. No point complaining though. Just deal with it.

And something horrific happened to my colleague. Her maid stole her stuff and ran away! Then, Roshan told me about his colleague's maid. She tried to run away, claiming she hasn't been paid for the past 10 months which isn't true! Now, the judge wants him to pay up and he's got no proof he's been paying her all along! Scary, right? That's why I don't trust maids. I mean, if you do get a good maid, you're lucky but most of them are pretty scary. Especially with my Fuddin, they'll probably wallop him when I'm not at him.

Ok i'm gonna head home and be the perfect wife and mommy now...As if that's ever possible. No, I'm just gonna go home and bathe the kids, sweep the floor, clear all the rubbish, fold clothes, play with Fuddin, teach Ayra....... and mark a few scripts before I exhaustedly go to bed...only to spend a few hours staring at the ceiling, unable to fall asleep. When I do get to sleep, I wake up 3 hours later only to realize it's already time to get ready for work. Urrrghhh!

Ok but I'm not complaining (The irony!!!)

E'nuff said. I'm outta here.

Busy, busy, busy!

Hmm, being back at work, it seems like I was never away. Haha. Yeah...I've been busy. We're having our Speech Day tomorrow and the English exams are next week so it's busy, busy, busy. Still, come weekends, I can't be bothered to do work coz I'm so busy with the family.

Let me see, we celebrated Mom's and Steven's birthday on Good Friday. Being the simple people that we are, the celebrations was of course... simple. Hehe. Just a cake and good food, cooked by birthday girl herself. Yes, even on her birthday, my mom insists that she cooks.

We also brought the kids to West Coast park but it was almost noon when we got there so it was effing hot! We just hung around for a bit and after that, being typical Singaporeans, seeked refuge at the nearby air conditioned Ginza Plaza (which is by the way, quite pathetically dead).

Then on Tuesday, I accompanied Ayra to NUH for her appointment to check out her lungs. She's been complaining of sporadic pains in her chest so I decided to get a thorough check. Luckily, the ECG and X ray shows she's fit as a fiddle so it could be just gastric; which is not so bad. Unfortunately, she also developed an eye infection on the same day (which resulted in her looking like a goldfish) so she's been missing school.

But that didn't stop her cosying up to Mr Ronald MacDonald himself. Haha. Kids.

Anyway, me and my beloved plan to catch "Fast & Furious" this weekend. Yup, he's very much into the hot cars and Vin Diesel is kinda hot so we're looking forward to that.

And oh, I almost forgot! The most exciting piece of news of the week is that my baby boy is going to school. Woohoo! Fuddin starts on 30th April. He's still unaware of what awaits him so he's alright. In the meantime, Grandma and Grandad are anxiously waiting for the date, nervous that their beloved munchkin will not be well looked after. Hehe, who can blame them? Fuddin is closer to them than he is to me and Roshan.

Ok, gotta run. Work awaits me and I'm not one to procrastinate (yeah, right!).

My 2 weeks away from work...

Ahhh....finally.... the very much overdue entry. Yes, it's been quite a while. I just came back from my two weels medical leave. Tonsilectomy. Yes, I am tonsils-less now. Haha. It was lasered off during day surgery at NUH. The morphine did wonders. The throat was really sore the first few days but I got through it coz I'm a sucker for pain. Now, I'm almost fully recoverd, just that my throat gets sore if I teach like for 4 straight periods (which I did today!) and I have yet to yawn properly coz it hurts if I do so. Other than that though, I'm coming along fine so for those who showed concern for me, thank you! It means a lot to me to get your well wishes.

So what did I do those 2 weeks at home? Well, I did do some work but apparently not enough. Most times though, I spent time with the kids and on the last day of leave, I got into a cleaning frenzy which is really weird coz I hardly cleaned the first 13 days. Anyway, An's almost done with painting Ayra's room. It's purple and lollipop pink. It's pretty cool. I'll put the pics up when it's done.

We also went to the dentist to get Ayra's teeth checked (yet again). We dropped by some health exhibition there. Ayra had a ball of a time running around and pretending to be a dentist! Haha. Cool.

We also dropped by Cheryl's birthday party. The kids went swimming at the chalet pool for a while and Ayra joined in the cake cutting while Fuddin basically just did his own thing (as usual).

That's pretty much it. Oh yah, we had our Drama SYF competition. The kids did well I think as it's only our first time participating. I'm confident of a bronze at least. The most important thing is that the kids had fun. I must thank Naz, Nat, Fiza and all those who pitched in and helped with preparation for the SYF competetionwhile I was on leave. Thanks Guys!

And yesterday, 3 of my sec 5Ruby (2008) girls came back to see me. They're really sweet and I miss them tremendously! I'm glad they're all pursuing a tertiary education and I'm sure they'll do their best and do well in life. Keep going Girls!

Ok, I've got to go. So much work to be done. I'm glad to be back at work coz now I'm occupied but I'm too occupied now! Haha. Humans...they're never satisfied. Ok, will write soon (I think so).
